Executive Director: Reagan Oduor Nyachieng’a
In December 2024, Reagan received the Talent and Creative Award from Kenya's Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs for his work promoting traditional Kenyan music overseas and supporting community-focused projects. Reagan performs traditional Kenyan music. He sings and plays various instruments, including percussion, as a freelance musician.
In addition, he builds instruments, teaches, and mentors artists. M-Tafsiri Africa was founded by Reagan Oduor Nyachieng'a; he has managed nonprofits in the creative and cultural sectors for eighteen years, and he has practical skills in community development, project management, and administration. He has expertise implementing music programs in M-Tafsiri Africa and assumes administrative and organizational leadership responsibilities as Executive Director, working closely with the M-Tafsiri Africa team and contributing to the organization's growth and accomplishments with the support of members and local communities.
Governance
Chairperson: Amalie Malmgren Asmild.
She joined the organization as a member in 2019 and was elected Chairperson of the M-Tafsiri Africa Organization in Kenya in March 2025. Until 2025 she was part of the executive team where she contributed to the implementation of several projects. Her background is in the creative industry.
Secretary: Maria Nene.
She joined the organization as a member in 2023 and was elected the secretary of the M-Tafsiri Africa Organization in Kenya in March 2025. Her background is in media and communication.
Treasure: Peter Agure.
He joined the organization as a board member in 2023 and has also served as its treasurer since that same year. He is an accredited accountant. Peter's tasks in M-Tafsiri include bookkeeping, budgeting, financial reporting, tax compliance, audit coordination, and financial planning. His expertise lies in ensuring financial transparency, implementing internal control systems, and providing detailed financial analysis to support organizational growth and sustainability.
